Brussels Sprouts

I love to look at fresh brussels sprouts on their stems because they remind me of little trees. I steam them and serve them without any garnish and my family greatly enjoys their strong rich taste. INGREDIENTS 2 pounds fresh brussels sprouts 1 tbsp honey 1⁄2 lemon 2 tbsp coconut butter 1⁄4 tsp cardamom powder 1⁄4 tsp salt Pinch of black pepper

1) Boil water in a big pot

2) Add the brussels sprouts and let cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes (they should be soft but not too soft)

3) Take them out of the water, put into a pot of cold water and let sit

4) In small pan melt the coconut butter and add the honey, lemon juice and cook for 1-2 minutes

5) Cut the bottoms o the brussels sprouts and put into a large bowl

6) Add the liquid

7) Add the cardamom powder

8) Mix and add salt and pepper to taste

9) Toss and serve

10) Enjoy!
