Avocado Spread

Avocados are a very healthy food. In our house we eat them straight out of their skin, add them to soups, or mash them up with other ingredients to make guacamole. INGREDIENTS 2-3 ripe avocados

4-6 gloves garlic 1 medium size red or white onion

1⁄2 lemon 1⁄2 tsp salt

pinch black pepper

pinch cayenne or chili pepper (optional)

1) Chop the onion into very fine pieces and set aside

2) Take the skin o and pit out of the avocados, and place the avocado meat into a bowl.

3) Using a fork, mash the avocado meat until smooth.

4) Mix the chopped onions with the smooth avocado.

5) Add lemon juice (from the 1⁄2 lemon), salt, pepper, cayenne or chile pepper, and garlic, to the avocado mixture.

6) Enjoy your avocado spread with sliced carrots, celery, jicama, turnips and much more!
